On March 8, students from all four high schools in District 228 participated in Miracle Minute fundraisers. At a specific time, for one minute, students went into the halls to make their donations into bags carried by the fundraising students for a cause that is dear to their hearts. The motto for the event was, “It only takes a minute to make a big change!” We now know that is absolutely true. In just one minute, Tinley Park High School collected $552.40 for Special Olympics.
Bremen High School collected $2,844.57 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer in memory of fellow student Paola Zambrano, Hillcrest High School collected $626.84 for the American Cancer Society in memory of District Fine Arts Supervisor Keith Anderson, and Oak Forest High School collected $561.88 for Together We Cope.
Congratulations and a big thanks to the best students ever – District 228 students!
