Evaluation Tools 
Listed below are the tools that observers will use to evaluate teachers.  Based upon feedback from teachers over the last two years of implementing Danielson, the DEC has decided to recommend three templates that could be used for lesson planning.  Use of any one of these templates is not required, as teachers still have the ability to design lesson plans as he/she sees fit.  The DEC identifies strengths and weaknesses of each template and reminds teachers that the best guidance for completing a lesson plan is to refer to Domain 1 of the Danielson Framework.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Lesson Plan Templates
Teachers are required to submit five (5) days of lesson plans for each Formal Observation.  Extensive plans need to be written for the day of observation and abbreviated plans should be written for the two days prior and two days after the observed lesson
*Note: Use of any one of these templates does not guarantee an "excellent" in Domain 1.  Teachers should refer to Domain 1 for guidance when completing lesson plans.
